For Autumn-Winter 2025, Delvaux presents more than a collection—it stages a profound narrative woven through leather, architecture, and history. Held at 19 Place Vendôme in Paris, the Maison’s latest showcase unfolds as an immersive installation-performance that bridges time and disciplines, with its emblematic creation, Le Brillant, as the beating heart of the experience.
Rooted in the historical legacy of the 1958 Brussels World Expo, Delvaux revisits a pivotal cultural moment, a celebration of postwar optimism, modernity, and artistic experimentation. It was at this very Expo that Le Brillant first emerged, inspired by the visionary architecture of Le Corbusier’s Philips Pavilion. Today, that spirit of ingenuity is rekindled as Delvaux reimagines Le Brillant not only as a symbol of enduring style, but as an evolving architectural object that transcends fashion.
In this season’s collection, Delvaux unveils Le Brillant Tempo, a new iteration of its iconic handbag. Crafted with supple construction and ultra-light materials, the Tempo responds to contemporary desires for ease, fluidity, and elegance without compromise. Designed to be worn in multiple ways, from crossbody to clutch, the Tempo represents a seamless fusion of technical prowess and quiet luxury. It is a continuation of the path first paved by Delvaux’s 2019 collaboration with Jean Colonna, which introduced a more flexible approach to the house’s structured silhouettes.
This refined evolution of Le Brillant is set against a remarkable cultural backdrop: the first public presentation of Saul Steinberg’s monumental mural The Americans outside museum walls. Commissioned for the American Pavilion at the 1958 Expo, this 70-meter-long visual essay captures the pulse of mid-century America through satire, elegance, and graphic poetry. Three restored panels, Downtown – Big City, Cocktail Party, and Main Street – Small Town, are on view in Paris, thanks to a collaboration with the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
Delvaux’s staging invites guests not just to observe, but to participate. Within the Hôtel d’Evreux, mirrors, silhouettes, and layered reflections create a performance space where visitors become active protagonists—moving between heritage pieces, modern leather sculptures, and archival artworks. Each guest’s reflection completes the mise-en-scène, blending person and object, history and present.
Here, Delvaux redefines the fashion presentation as a layered act of storytelling, offering a poetic, intellectually rich experience that brings together Belgian cultural heritage, Parisian elegance, and international artistic resonance. The AW25 collection blurs the boundaries between object and architecture, archive and innovation, fashion and fine art.
