The collection is presented in a captivating installation designed by Philadelphia-based artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase. Lyndon Chase’s dynamic and intuitive style reinterpreting everyday objects like lamps, sinks, and fans, creates an atmosphere where the boundaries between public and private, and the domestic and the artistic, become blurred. The silhouette of the collection is equally unconventional, with garments both super-shrunken and inflated. Drapes and bows, inspired by home furnishings, appear in unexpected combinations. The overall effect is of a twisted and padded, half-dressed aesthetic, as if the clothes were pulled on in a rush. Tailoring is warped and creased, lending an air of spontaneity, while leather is minimal and raw-cut, creating a subversive interpretation of luxury.
The color palette is equally bold, with luxurious shades of chocolate brown, charcoal grey, and camel grounding the collection, while black takes center stage in leather and latex. Pops of sugar-coated powdery pink, vanilla yellow, sky blue, and pearl create a sense of sweetness, interrupted by bolder shades of orange, bubblegum, and coral. Denim and leather are reinvented, bonded with foam for a distinct silhouette, while tumbled lamb leather takes on a denim attitude. Tailoring is also bonded, creating a stiff, structured shape. Hand-crochet knits recall doilies and tea cosies, appearing oversized and adorned with crystals. Other knits are worn and deconstructed, evoking a sense of sentimentality. Cotton and lycra jersey evoke underwear, while latex adds an almost alien sheen to the collection.
Prints are similarly unexpected, with florals from vintage fabrics and domestic interiors warped and distorted, clashing with the textures of leather and latex. Polka dots are faded and blurred, while plaid checks nod towards a masculine wardrobe. The collection also introduces the new Camero handbag, inspired by vintage camera bags. The Multipocket tool bag returns in mock-croc leather or adorned with crystal bows. A softer, handheld clutch, also in mock-croc and crystal iterations, adds a nostalgic touch of glamour.Jewelry is bold and sculptural, with high-shine bracelets, rings, and necklaces featuring an irregular, hammered finish. Chains are heavy and oversized, and Swarovski crystals adorn bow-shaped bracelets, bulbous split rings, and cuffs. Footwear follows suit, with streamlined, exaggerated peep-toe pumps in mock-croc, flocked nappa, and degradé-hued leathers. A boot version of the same style features floral prints, while ballet pumps are reimagined in crochet knit, lending a homespun feel. Swarovski crystals appear crocheted all over as pumps and ballet flats.
