In the age of social media dominance, Instagram has become a global platform that empowers individuals to share their passions and stories with the world. Mariam Mohammad, known by her alias MRMR, is a Kuwaiti influencer whose journey has inspired and resonated with audiences of her nation. For many, Mariam is perceived as a strong and independent woman who defies the norms in pursuit of happiness.
Our exclusive interview looks into MRMR’s life, unveiling the person behind a vibrant feed that reaches more than 3,6 million spectators.

AM: Mariam, tell us how your career as an influencer started?
I opened an Instagram account and published fashion and lifestyle photos. I established an affinity with the audience and my followers were increasing day after day. Kuwaiti brands started contacting me for advertisements and promotional projects and that’s how I officially become an influencer in Kuwait.
AM: So far, what are some of your top partnerships?
I have collaborated with Saint Laurent, Chopard, Make-up Forever, Boucheron, Richard Quinn, L'Oréal, Kérastase, Charlotte Tilbury, Loewe and many more to come.
AM: How do you deal with the negative aspect of social media?
I used to get affected in the very beginning. Now I choose not to focus on things that make me feel bad.
AM: And how do you interact with your fans?
My followers have a special place in my heart, I try my best to respond to their messages on Instagram and Snapchat, and I love when I get to meet them in real life.
AM: You are an independent Arab woman. What is your advice to women who look up to you as a role model?
I would say to any woman in the world, do not underestimate yourself nor your abilities. You are strong and you can do whatever you set your mind to. Know what’s right for you and develop yourself. Love yourself and you will be limitless.
AM: Tell us more about your books, why did you decide to write them?
I wrote my first book Brunette On The Run a while ago called during my divorce after 15 years of marriage. My feelings were strong, there was anger, reproach, and annoyance. Years later, I published my second book An Indomitable Woman. It was when my feelings were truly indomitable; I knew how to grow stronger and it was the right time to release it after overcoming difficult obstacles in my life.

AM: And what about your perfume line, what makes it different from the competition?
I am considered as the first Arab influencer to release a namesake fragrance. My perfumes are my own and not under the name of another company. They are distinguished by the beauty of their expensive natural ingredients which gives them high stability with a very distinctive and strong scent.
AM: Let’s talk fashion. How would you describe your style?
I like to follow trends; I would say my style tends to be more casual chic.
AM: What are some of your favorite brands?
Dior, Fendi, Prada, Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Max Mara and more.
AM: Tell us more about your recent visit to Paris?
One of my most memorable travels was my latest visits to Paris. I did an advertisement for Kérastase products, for Korloff jewelry and had a visit to Cartier’s flagship store to meet the high jewelry director and checkout their latest collection.
AM: Finally, what are some of your future projects?
I have five new perfumes that I am working on. They will be released separately, and I have a project with an international company that I will reveal later as well.
