Mori Venice Bar: Venetian Vibes in the Heart of Paris

Established by Mr. Massimo Mori and currently headed by his loving Italian family, this exceptional restaurant opened in 2005 features a Venetian art of living with a baroque, stylish and chic decor, all designed by the iconic Philippe Starck.

Overlooking the old stock exchange in Paris, the cozy Michelin One-Star restaurant offers a curated menu of Venetian delicacies like their signature homemade tagliatelle seared with king prawns, cherry tomatoes and basil and an artisanal ice cream for a light finish.

"When a customer orders risotto, we like to insist that it will take 20 minutes of cooking, which was a form of a drastic revolution here in Paris, where people are used to reheated risotto that requires less than five minutes to be served! We wanted to impose our cuisine and share the real taste of Italian cuisine with the Parisians,” commented founder Massimo Mori.

Co-director Céline Mori explained that what makes her restaurant special is the authenticity and the strong storytelling which can be seen through family portraits of several generations of a hard-working Italian family displayed on the walls of the restaurant. As for a special memory at Mori Venice Bar she recalls: “It has to be when we organized a dinner for the French premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street with Martin Scorsese and the entire cast of the film.”

If we were to recommend one must-have meal it would be the luscious Vitello Tonnato (sliced veal covered with a creamy sauce).
