Earthy and timid colors were the palette of choice for Maria Grazia Chiuri. The creative director has once again taken a fashion connoisseur as an inspiration, this time Lucia Marcucci, known for his Italian avant-garde style and who also designed the Ready-to-Wear show’s atmosphere. Modernist authors like Virginia Woolf and Susan Sontag were also part of Chiuri’s creative process this season.
Patchworks, floral patterns and lace were seen on a series of dresses and pants as elements of Oriental culture appeared on coats and shirts, a reinterpretation of traditional wear from Japan and Indonesia.
The cherry on the top of it all? A visual film by director and feminist Alina Marazzi.
