You gained an immense social media following for participating in ABC’s The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart. How was your experience like working as one of the youngest members on the show?
It was a great experience. I didn’t think of age as a factor. I was always my authentic self throughout the show and luckily, everything else worked out.

Do you feel that in reality television, individuals of your age are met with different challenges than your counterparts?
Not really. I had a wonderful time on the show and everyone was incredible. Everything was very fair.

Did you have a fair shot at finding true love while you were a part of the series?
Yes, of course. I made so many new friends as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Many assumed that your chemistry with former cast member Matt Ranaudo was off during the series. Do you agree?
No – I feel like there was just a lot that people didn't get to see. Having re-watched the show, I could see why people thought that Matt wasn't that into me. If that was true though, I wouldn't have been into him either. I am not the kind of person to be interested in someone who doesn’t like me at all. I didn’t think our chemistry was as off in person as it appeared on television.

Do you feel that being so forthright has caused your past relationships to suffer?
Yes, a hundred percent! I am a very strong person; I say what I feel and I don’t hold back on anything. If you do something to piss me off, I will tell you, and a lot of men don’t like that. Some men don’t want to be with a woman who stands up for herself, but I will. So yes, being straightforward has affected my relationships but it has also made me realize that I need a man who is on my level or a level above me. I need a man who is strong enough to handle my honesty.

What was your initial gig as an artist before embarking on Listen to Your Heart?
I was a demo singer; I worked for a guy who wrote music for companies like DreamWorks and Lionsgate. He would write songs for huge artists and needed someone like me to sing on demo tracks. That was pretty much what I was doing before Listen to Your Heart.

What kind of music are you working on right now?
I am currently writing a bunch of new music and some of the songs are not quite finished yet. I am just writing how I have been feeling because I am going through a lot of emotions in quarantine, so I am just writing and writing.

Can we expect a debut album from you anytime soon?
Right now, you can definitely expect more singles and hopefully some music videos. I definitely want to release an album one of these days but I want to follow it up with a music tour. Unfortunately, that can’t happen right now, so I am saving it for the right time.

What gives you self-confidence?
Being myself. I think it is important to remember that there is no one else in this world like you, so you have to wake up every day and choose to own that and be confident in yourself.
