Appointment of Olivier Theyskens As Artistic Director
During the recent shows, the talented team of atelier Azzaro has been closing the couture defiles, yet everyone was wondering who would be nominated as the new artistic director. On February 6th, 2020 the wait was over, and a statement issued by the house announced that the Franco-Belgian designer Olivier Theyskens will officially take on the lead role. His mission and creative direction will cover the couture collections, Ready-to-Wear lines, and women and men’s accessories. His first appearance is scheduled for the July 2020 couture show during Paris Fashion Week.
Theyskens, known publicly for his own brand and as the winner of the CFDA International Award, expressed the honor of leading the maison founded by Loris Azzaro: “I would like to carry on this atypical universe through my collections while infusing them with my own perspective,” said Olivier Theyskens.
