Azzaro Spring/Summer 2020 Haute Couture & Appointment of Olivier Theyskens

The iconic French fashion house takes couture to a modern edge for Spring/Sumer 2020.
A contrast between older times and the future are portrayed in the same collection.

Where there is opacity there is transparency, and when the light beams a shadow unfolds. Volumes can be also simple, and gold and silver can be toned down by darker colors. Crystals and beads adorn a woman’s body and form in either short dresses or lengthy gowns.

If it doesn’t look like a jewel than it’s not Azzaro, and over the years, the brand remains loyal to its heritage and founder Mr. Loris Azzaro.

Appointment of Olivier Theyskens As Artistic Director
During the recent shows, the talented team of atelier Azzaro has been closing the couture defiles, yet everyone was wondering who would be nominated as the new artistic director. On February 6th, 2020 the wait was over, and a statement issued by the house announced that the Franco-Belgian designer Olivier Theyskens will officially take on the lead role.

His mission and creative direction will cover the couture collections, Ready-to-Wear lines, and women and men’s accessories. His first appearance is scheduled for the July 2020 couture show during Paris Fashion Week.

Theyskens, known publicly for his own brand and as the winner of the CFDA International Award, expressed the honor of leading the maison founded by Loris Azzaro: “I would like to carry on this atypical universe through my collections while infusing them with my own perspective,” said Olivier Theyskens.
