Georges Chakra belongs to the first generation of Lebanese fashion designers who took couture beyond the capital Beirut. Since the 1980s, his designs have had a special touch that transcends the regular norms and balances a modern Orient with the European savoir-faire.
Year after year he keeps on transforming the Parisian catwalk into a display of fine couture and Ready-to-Wear. Flaunted by international A-listers, his gowns have graced universal red carpets, festivals and events.
From his showroom in Paris, we sat down with Georges Chakra to learn more about the accomplished couturier.
