When an iconic French jeweler is exhibited at the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre, and at the heart of the Gulf Region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, it simply cannot get any better!
Cartier is currently presenting six of its beautiful creations in the Louvre’s 10,000 Years of Luxury exhibition, which is taking place till February 18th, 2020. The event traces the definition of luxury through 350 artifacts belonging to various cultures across millenniums.
The Cartier collection includes an Art-Deco style diamond tiara from 1914, a gold and rose-cut diamonds mystery clock from the 1920s, a black-enamel lighter encrusted with gold, platinum and square-cut diamonds from 1932, a panther vanity case from 1928 in black-enamel, emeralds and rubies, and a recent addition from 2012 including a panther bracelet from platinum and fossilized matter with diamonds.
Another immersive experience presented by the French house focuses on the luxurious aura of an intangible scent. USO - The Perfumed Cloud invites visitors to enter a transparent glass cube floating on water, with a spiral staircase that leads above a floating cloud where the scent can be smelled.
“Building cultural bridges is at the core of Cartier’s values, which is why participating in this series of events is close to our hearts,” said Sophie Doireau, Managing Director Cartier UAE and India.
