Impeccable tailoring, gender neutrality and “Smoking or No Smoking?” were at the core of the Jean Paul Gaultier vision for this season.
A show that was a homage to the rebel, and the not so politically correct, designer that is Jean Paul Gaultier. It was a fashion event that held a social component at the very end when a male and female model appeared topless with the “Tetons Libres” (Free the Nipple) statement. A loud and clear message reminding us that Gaultier was and remains a pioneer of his era.
His double-breasted bustier dresses, Le Smoking, tuxedo jackets, and trouser boots were all present for the celebration selected in colors that you would wear to paint the town red.
