Japanese designers like Issey Miyake were amongst the first to transform comfortable looks into a fashion necessity. His Spring/Summer 2019 collection is for a man seeking a laid back and relaxed attire that blends into his everyday life, in his private as in his public space.
The season’s symbol, the sun, is at the core of this collection. The designer traced the sun’s different periods: from its rise, to its peak hours up until its set. The star’s shadows served as imprints on the collection’s textiles. Light, bright and dark representing the different segments of the day.
Our ideal Issey Miyake ensemble for the hot season includes a pair of neutral colored pants, a colorful stripped T-shirt and black sneakers (or sandals, for those who can wear them well).
