You may know Gwyneth Paltrow as an A-list actor, but did you know
that she is also a businesswomen? She is the founder of Goop, an
innovative lifestyle publication that has gained a huge following.
In an intimate conversation during The Cannes Lions International Festival 2016, Gwyneth spoke about her off-camera role.
Paltrow explained that she has become more focused on her
business Goop, which came out of the simple idea of sending a weekly
email of her thoughts and experiences to a niche community. Such topics
were her travels, cooking tips, food allergies and her general curiosity
about the Internet. The concept was not to promote Gwyneth the actress,
but to answer common questions. And which was mainly the reason why the
website gained a loyal following. While the products on the site might
be quite pricey, Gwyneth insisted that the place is intended for
discovery, and not necessarily purchase.
Gwyneth concluded with an
advice to every business entrepreneur and said: “You have to have
confidence, because self-belief is everything.”
